I have sent these ideas to Google long time ago and had no answers. Thats why I decide to share them with the world and start sharing my ideas in this blog expecting to have better answers.
Google Profile
The Google Account we use today offers the possibility of adding other email accounts from a third party. I believe it would be a great plus to have the option of adding Gmail accounts that are associated with Google services. For example, we use different Google accounts to read mail and to use YouTube; this could be much better if they were together in our profi le.
Also our profile should allow us to include social networks accounts, making our profile much easier to find for other users. In this way you can interconnect the personal info that is, for now, split into deferent sites.
Missing function: Profile Messages, a way for other users to leave messages/comments in our profi le. This works like in any other social network.
Embed code for Buzz: This is a great tool for bloggers, allowing them to share something in its original format and respecting copyright. This could include a buzz frame to promote this platform even more.
Profile Search: An efficient way to find people.
Nowadays, finding someone in the internet is quite a complex thing to do. By adding social networks profiles to Google profiles, searching for someone should be much easier. So, if I am looking for (let’s say) a professional, I’d rather go to “Profile Finder” instead of starting parallel searches in every site/social network.
I also found out that most users don’t know that Google Profile Search exists (actually located in http://www.google.com/profiles). So they tend to use Google Classic Search instead. The simplest way to change this behavior is to add a button in Google Search page so that everyone has better access to it (illustrated in the image below). So if you want to be found you will take your time to actualize or create a new Google Profile.
Organized Files
This category should gather all the attached files from our Mail, sent and received, so they can be found much more easily. Nowadays you can try and find attached files but if you work with your mail or simply share lots of files, you might realize that finding them is really hard work! So, in this way, you can have them in one place; order them by contact, category, file type, date, etc.
Google Talk for Chrome
I would like Google Talk to be better integrated to Chrome; so that instead of “invading” space of other services (such as Gmail), it should have its own place in Chrome. Accessing Google Talk from just a button in Chrome and having its own independent tabs would be a good way. By making those new tabs face downwards, the user can easily identify what belongs to Google Talk and what doesn’t. As a plus, Gadgets can be added in the Google Talk window so that anything useful is right next to it; imitating iGoogle concept. All of these can be seen in the illustration below.
